Techniques Page
Dr. Keegan Is an avid study-bug.
He is fascinated by the different realms of alternative medicine relating to Meditation, “Energy”, “Quantum Biology”, and “Consciousness Technology”.
While in a session with you, Dr. Keegan may weave in and out of multiple different techniques depending upon what shows up for you as an individual in the moment.
An important lesson in his life and career thus far came in studying Consciousness Technology, as taught by the late Dr. Richard Bartlett, DC, ND.
Dr. Bartlett taught that, while techniques can be useful, they also have their limitations.
Techniques are based around strict rules, but as the saying goes - “there is always an exception to the rule”.
No individual human being fits perfectly well into the structured box that is a “technique”.
People aren’t made of strict rules, sharp lines, or rigid angular structures - that isn’t how biology works.
There are no straight lines in biology.
Biology is made up of points, curves, spirals, and waves.
Thus, shouldn’t the same be true for you, as an individual human being?
Then when something needs to change, why would the way to transformation be a straight line?
Dr. Keegan studies many techniques, and may use bits and pieces of all, or in some cases none of them in his session with you.
That said, if you’re interested in some of what is in the toolbox - please read below. (Note - more detailed descriptions are being added to the Blog section of this website as well)
What is Neurological Integrative Systems (NIS)?
NIS is a modality created from the research of Dr. Alan Phillips, an Osteopath based out of New Zealand. The basis of NIS aims to use muscle testing to read messages from the nervous system, in order to first see where the brain is having difficulty sending information through the nervous system and acupuncture meridian system to communicate with the various parts of the body, and then reestablish any of these pathways of faulty communication.
“Linking the brain to become congruent with neurological, physiological, emotional, and pathological patterns that will collectively restore homeostasis” - Dr. Alan Phillips
This is the primary system of Neurofunctional Testing utilized at Florida Chiropractic Clinics
What is Matrix Energetics?
Matrix Energetics is one of the forms of Consciousness Technology, another term for Quantum Biology based-therapies, taught by the late Dr. Richard Bartlett, DC, ND.
Matrix Energetics is less of a “technique” and more of a way of experiencing consciousness differently - a different way of viewing reality, which is more fluid and dependent upon what is useful in the moment. Dr. Keegan Has studied multiple Consciousness Technologies under Dr. Bartlett’s tutilage, also including M.E.D., and his final creation “In Deep”.
These Consciousness Technologies allow Dr. Keegan to treat every individual that he gets to interact with as just that - an individual. No human being perfectly fits into any rigid technique or set of rules. People are unique. Matrix Energetics allows for the sort of adaptability that moves beyond the rule-sets of “techniques” so that it can see you for who you are in this moment, rather than what sort of “category” you might fit into.
Matrix Energetics and the various other technologies Dr. Keegan studied with Dr. Bartlett in his final years of life (M.E.D., and In Deep) act as the lens through which he views the human experience. They are an inseparable part of the way that he views the world, and thus are an invaluable part of the way that he addresses the mind, body, and spirit of every individual he gets to work with.
What is The Emotion Code?
The Emotion Code is a methodology by Dr. Bradley Nelson in the US, based around using muscle testing in order to communicate with the subconscious mind to find and release trapped emotions from a person’s past, and their inherited patterns of emotion from their parents and prior ancestry.
How does Dr. Keegan Utilize Applied Kinesiology and Traditional Chinese Medicine?
Dr. Keegan is an avid student of all things in the realm of “energy medicine”, and this includes the acupuncture meridian system. The primary means by which we work together will be a synthesis of many different techniques, which includes muscle testing Meridian Therapy surrounding the psycho-emotional and psycho-spiritual acupuncture points of Traditional Chinese Medicine, including the 12 basic meridians and the eight Extraordinary Meridians (Ghost Points and more) using muscle testing, light pressure, and more - you will not have any needles stuck into your body during any sessions with Dr. Keegan.
What is Tonal Chiropractic Care?
Tonal care is a gentle adjusting modality that focuses on light contacts to specific points along the spine where we are holding tension in our posture, alongside coordinated deep breathing. By bringing our brain’s attention to these areas of tension and breathing into them, the tension often releases without the need for forceful manipulation of the spine.
This form of care is ideal for patients who are not comfortable with receiving the chiropractic adjustment - the signature “cracking” we expect from a visit with a Chiropractor.
Adjusting can be incorporated as well for those seeking the benefits of this form of wellness care who do enjoy the chiropractic adjustment.
Dr. Keegan has studied multiple forms of Tonal Care, including Network Spinal Analysis, Bio-Geometric Integration, Pneuma Chiropractic, and Kairos Training Culture.
These are all forms of wellness chiropractic care with the purpose of teaching your nervous system strategies to move out of chronic states of Fight, Flight, or Freeze, and into states of Flow and Ease.
Benefits of Tonal Care include: Increased sense of ease and wellbeing, Release of tension, increased capacity for life stresses, feeling more embodied/focused and less spacey, improved energy, improved emotional wellbeing, and more.
Tonal Care is NOT for the purpose of addressing physical pain, but instead for helping to unwind the stresses in the body, so that you can become more adaptable and less phased by the physical, emotional, and chemical stresses that we all run into in day-to-day life. In the process of this you may also experience less pain as a result of the change in tension, but the intention is instead to affect more ease in your body, mind, and emotions.
